Client Voice︱Why Mobitect Chose Compass Offices WTC annex (Hamamatsucho)

Mobitect Inc., a company specializing in architecture and interior design, was established in August 2025. Backed by an investment company based in Vancouver, Canada, the business was launched with ambitious plans for both domestic and international expansion.

As the starting point for their journey, Mobitect selected Compass Offices WTC annex in Hamamatsucho, Tokyo.

We spoke with Founder and Representative Director, Mr. Okamoto, about the company’s office search, why they chose Compass Offices, and their experience since moving in.

The Background Behind Their Office Search

  • When Mobitect was established in August 2025, the team immediately began searching for office space. Given the company’s frequent business travel requirements, they focused on locations with convenient access to Tokyo’s major transportation hubs.
  • As a startup in its first year, committing to a traditional office lease would have created a significant financial burden. Instead, they looked for a flexible office solution that could provide a professional working environment while maintaining cost efficiency.
  • Another important consideration was future growth. With overseas investors and expansion plans already taking shape, Mobitect wanted an office provider that could support future locations in Osaka, Fukuoka, and international markets.

Why Compass Offices WTC annex (Hamamatsucho)?

  • Exceptional Accessibility and Convenience — Located within easy reach of both Hamamatsucho and Daimon stations, WTC annex offers excellent connectivity via the JR Yamanote Line, Keihin-Tohoku Line, Toei Asakusa Line, and Oedo Line. Haneda Airport is also easily accessible via the Tokyo Monorail. The surrounding area provides additional convenience, with a post office, banking facilities, and Times Car services located nearby, making day-to-day business operations seamless.
  • A High-Quality Working Environment — As professionals in architecture and interior design, the Mobitect team places a high value on design and workplace quality. They were impressed by the clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed workspace, which met the standards they expect from any professional environment.
  • Scalability and Outstanding Service Compass Offices’ regional and international network was another key advantage. The ability to expand into new locations while continuing to work with the same office provider offered flexibility and long-term convenience. Equally important was the support they received throughout the decision-making process. The professionalism, responsiveness, and personal attention provided by the Compass Offices team ultimately made the decision easy.

— What led you to start looking for a serviced office?

We founded the company in August 2025 and began looking for office space almost immediately. Because our work involves frequent travel, we wanted a location with convenient access to major transportation links.

As a startup in our first year, it was difficult to justify the cost and commitment of a conventional leased office. A serviced office offered the flexibility and practicality we needed at this stage of our growth.

Another important factor was our international outlook. Our investor is part of a global organization based in Vancouver, Canada, and international expansion has been part of our plans from the very beginning. We expect to expand into cities such as Osaka and Fukuoka, and potentially overseas markets like Singapore.

We wanted a solution that could grow with us. Being able to start with one provider and continue expanding through the same network was one of the key reasons behind our decision.

The Deciding Factor: Exceptional Service

—What ultimately convinced you to choose Compass Offices?

In the end, it came down to the people.

We compared many options online and visited several offices before making our decision. What gave us the confidence to choose Compass Offices was the quality of the service. The staff were attentive, professional, and genuinely supportive throughout the process.

That level of care made a real difference.

Life After Moving In: “We Couldn’t Be Happier”

— How has your experience been since moving in?

It’s made a noticeable difference to the way we work.

We moved in during August, one of the hottest times of the year, and the environment has been incredibly comfortable. The complimentary refreshments are a nice touch, and the views are fantastic.

Our team often works from the lounge areas, and we regularly use the phone booths for remote meetings and calls.

Honestly, we couldn’t be happier with our decision.

Business Benefits We’ve Experienced

— Have you noticed any business advantages?

Absolutely. The biggest benefits are accessibility and convenience.

With both Hamamatsucho and Daimon stations nearby, we have easy access to multiple train lines, and Haneda Airport is just a monorail ride away. The connectivity is exceptional and far better than many people realize.

Having a post office and bank nearby is also incredibly convenient. Since we don’t maintain company vehicles, we use a corporate Times Car account, and having access to car-sharing services just next door is a major advantage.

It’s extremely helpful to have so many business essentials located within the same area.

Another key benefit is the quality of the workspace itself. Since our business revolves around architecture and interior design, we believe it’s important to work in an environment that reflects the standards we provide to our clients.

When welcoming clients for meetings, we want them to experience a space we’re proud of. The meeting rooms and lounge areas create a professional atmosphere and leave visitors with a positive impression.

At the same time, it contributes to our team’s motivation, satisfaction, and productivity.

Community Events Are Another Highlight

—What do you think of the events hosted by the centre?

What do you think of the events hosted by the centre?”

“The seasonal events, such as Christmas, Valentine’s Day, and Halloween celebrations, are always enjoyable, and we’d love to see them continue.

The networking events are also valuable. We particularly appreciate initiatives that support employee wellbeing, such as the recent stretching session, which helps tenants maintain a healthy and comfortable work environment.

The nutritional drink sampling event was surprisingly popular. We enjoyed the products so much that some of us actually went out and bought them afterward. We’ve also heard there’s a professional portrait photography session planned for next month. Opportunities like that aren’t something we’d typically organize ourselves, so we’re looking forward to taking part.

Looking Ahead

—What would you like to see from Compass Offices in the future

We already have a branch office in Fukuoka, so we’d be interested in using Compass Offices there if there were locations near Tenjin or Hakata Station.

We also have operations in Osaka and would welcome additional options there. Looking further ahead, we’re aiming to expand into Vancouver, Canada, within the next two years. If Compass Offices were to establish a presence there, it would be exciting to continue growing together as our business expands internationally.

A Message for Companies Evaluating Office Space

—What advice would you give to businesses considering their office options?

If you’re considering it, I’d genuinely encourage you to take the next step.

A clean, comfortable workspace is far more important than many people realize. Even for a company like ours, where designing exceptional spaces is part of our profession, this is a workplace where we genuinely enjoy coming every day.

It’s a space that makes people want to work.
