Serviced Offices FAQs

Q1. Can I see the inside of the offices and facilities?
A1. Yes of course! Please contact us and schedule a tour (business hour: Weekday 9:00-18:00).

Q2. Can you tell me the offices’ availability?
A2. Office availability is always changing. Please let us know how many people will use the office and when you would like to start. We can check the availability for you.

Q3. Can I have a price list?
A3. We don’t disclose the price list because the price will be changed by which services you would like to apply and the size and type of room. For the most up-to-date price, just contact us.

Q4. Can I use the address for company registration?
A4. Yes, you can. 

Q5. Can I use the Compass Offices’ serviced office as a shop?
A5. No, you cannot. Our offices are designed for running business but does not extend to shops.

Q6. Can I access the office anytime I like?
A6. Our office clients can use the office 24/7. Please use the security cards or keys which we provide.

Q7. What is the shortest contract period?
A7. The minimum contract period is 3 months. Please let us know in case you would like to use for a  shorter period.

Q8. Tell me about contract cancellation.
A8. You cannot cancel the contract during the contract period. Renewal / Cancellation notification should be delivered 3 months before the contract end date.

Q9. Can I change the office in case the employees are increased / decreased?
A9. Yes, but it is up to the office availability. Please contact us to check availability.

Q10. Can I get the support for company foundation?
A10. We can introduce our partner service providers to help you with your company formation. Please let us know if you need help.

Q11. What kind of documents do I have to submit for a contract?
A11. The documents you need to submit for a contract are below.

Corporate clients

  • Contract
  • Company overview or articles of incorporation
  • Copy of your company seal’s certification or copy of signer’s identification
  • Copy of your corporate registration
 

Individual clients

  • Contract
  • Any document which describes your business
  • Copy of your identification (Passport, driver’s license, residence certificate etc.,)
 

Q12. What are the steps to make a contract?
A12. You can check the process on this page, describing the steps to obtaining a contract.

Q13. How many people can use the office?
A13. We have variety of the offices from 1 person to over 10 persons. Please feel free to contact us to discuss your requirement.

Q14. Do you have desks and chairs?
A14. Desks, chairs, cabinets and trash box are installed in the office. Please let us know in case you need more equipment.

Q15. How do I pay the monthly fee?
A15. We ask our clients to pay their monthly invoice by bank transfer.

Q16. Do you have meeting rooms? How can I use the meeting rooms?
A16. We have multiple meeting rooms in both our Toranomon and Meguro business centres. Our clients can use them with membership price and are also available for external clients to hire at competitive rates.

Q17. When can I start to use the office?
A17. You can start to use the office from the start date on the contract, after you pass our screening process and you pay the initial cost by bank transfer.

Virtual Offices FAQs

Q1. Can I see the inside of offices and facilities?
A1. Please contact us if you would like to see the facilities. You can complete the contract process only with email based communication.

Q2. Can I use the address for company registration?
A2. Yes, as long as you choose a virtual office plan which includes our business address option. (only our “Business Communication” plan, which provides telephone handling services, does not include a business address)

Q3. Can I use the virtual office service as an individual?
A3. Individual usage is possible but we limit the service only for business purposes. Compass Offices have a screening process to confirm if your use is appropriate for our services.

Q4. Can I use the service from overseas?
A4. If you are located in an overseas country and you would like to use our services to expand your business in Japan, you are free to use our services. Contact us to discuss your requirement.

Q5. How can I receive my mail and postal packages?
A5. If you apply for the plan which allows to use our mailing address, we will keep your mail and packages temporarily in the centre. You will also have the option to ask our staff to send it to a particular address (shipping cost and management fee will be charged) or you can stop by our centre to get them directly. Choose which service you prefer when you submit the contract.

Q6. How do you deal with the calls from our customers?
Q6. If you apply for the plan which allows to use dedicated phone numbers, you will have several options to ask our receptionists to answer your call, or to forward the call directly to a particular number etc.  You can also request how you would like the call to be answered

A10. We have a plenty of virtual office plans. Find out the details here on our website. We ask our clients to pay per monthly invoice, by bank transfer.
