The role will manage the daily operations of the IT Network Operations and Network Operating Centre (NOC) Team to deliver quality and outstanding service levels.
The role will also provide leadership, training and to drive the technology strategy using the ITIL / ITSM Service Management and best practices.

  • Supervise the day-to-day operations of the IT Network and NOC team, running 24/7.
  • Act as a point of escalation for complaints, enquires or issues related to network issues.
  • Oversee the management of all major incidents, queries, service requests through to successful resolution and ensuring effective escalation and notification within the group and stakeholders.
  • Provide update, incident report and RCA during and after the incidents and/or outage.
  • Provide leadership advice with the team to ensure they are able to deliver consistent and effective support to the customer.
  • Establish the networking environment by designing system configurations, directing system installations, defining, documenting and enforcing system standards
  • Maximize network efficiency by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades and providing off site/on-site repairs when required
  • Assist the Team in network equipment configuration and service provisioning, including upgrading data network equipment to the latest stable firmware releases
  • Support the development and implementation of network projects alongside new hardware installations
  • Assist in developing new technologies and long term strategies to meet future network requirements and needs within the region

  • Diploma or higher in Computer Science or related disciplines with minimum 5 years' work experience in Networking
  • Holder of CCNA/CCNP or related CISCO certification is highly preferred
  • Experience with Enterprise and Service Provider network hardware platforms and architectures including Cisco routers, switches and firewall platforms
  • Strong competence in routing and switching technologies and protocols including TCP/IP, STP, VLAN, RIP, CDP, LLDP, BGP,ISIS, OSPF, and MPLS
  • Experience in configuring and maintaining DHCP, NAT,IPSEC, and Site to Site VPN/DMVPN
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent time management and organization skills, Independent, excellent interpersonal skills, highly motivated and ability to work under pressure
  • Willing to work in a shifting schedule, holidays and weekends
  • Experience in using IT Service Management (ITSM) tools would be an advantage
  • At least 5 years of experience in managing Network Operations in a shared/managed services or BPO.
  • Experience in implementing and/ or managing ITIL based processes.
  • Must be ITIL V3 Foundation Certified; ITIL Service Operation / IT Service Management is a plus.
  • Strong customer service skills and excellent leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in English language.
