The Commercial Director oversees all commercial activities of Japan, with the aim to maximize revenues of all product lines at optimal distribution and local marketing cost.

  • Lead, train and motivate sales and marketing team to achieve sales targets
  • Monitor and report performance of commercial activities using key metrics
  • Develop and implement commercial strategies to drive revenue and ultimate business growth
  • Interpret market trends and adapt to industry changes
  • Manage channel performance and define and implement actions to optimize channel performance and cost 
  • Understand the requirements of existing clients and maximise retention while growing revenue
  • Review commercial terms and processes and make recommendations to optimize performance
  • Build and maintain profitable partnerships with key stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Compass teams locally and overseas regarding marketing, pricing, revenue management, legal terms and systems and process
  • Regular reporting on progress and escalation of risks and issues
     

  • Bachelor’s Degree holder in Business Administration, Finance or related fields
  • Minimum 8 years of proven experience in sales management and marketing and managing relationships with key clients 
  • Relevant industry experience and in-depth knowledge of the market
  • Strong organizational, leadership and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset
  • Excellent communication skill in English and Japanese
