The "Compass for Entrepreneurs" competition is a programme designed to promote entrepreneurship and support creativity in Hong Kong. Hong Kong is among the most exciting cities in the world to start a business, and we want to do our part to contribute to our home city's business competitiveness.
We are inviting all entrepreneurs to submit outlines of innovative business plans for judging by Compass Offices' senior executives.
The deadline for submissions is 31 August 2010.
The prize
The top three submissions, as determined by the judging panel, will receive free serviced office space for six months in a Compass Offices location and capital investment of up to HK$10 million in total.

Submission requirements
Participants must:
- be aged 18 or over
- be a resident of Hong Kong with right of abode
- not be a member of staff of Compass Offices or its vendors
Submission guidelines
Submissions must:
- not exceed 2,000 words in length
- contain a business plan that could lead to a successful business. This business model could be:
- a new product or service that fulfils a market opportunity
- an enhancement of an existing product or service that has potential to create value, increase sales or reduce costs
- a new idea or a new way of operating
- business plans should contain:
- overview of business idea/concept
- competitive advantage analysis
- target market analysis
- estimated timeline for breakeven
- estimated revenues and net income
- examination of risks

Judging criteria
- Innovation and creativity: Originality of the business ideas and its approach
- Commercial viability: Does the business plan offer an attractive and realistic opportunity? Does it have good growth potential?
- Entries must comply with Hong Kong law and be strictly business-ethical.
- The decision of the judges is absolute and final
